The general objective of the Research Directorate of Universidad de La Frontera is to design, propose and implement policies and actions suited to the demands imposed by a global society, allowing this academic institution to increase its capacity to generate knowledge, improving its levels of scientifc and technological activity and productivity, with impact at a regional, national and internacional level, in harmony with the academic principles which sustain the University in its role as a generator of cutting edge knowledge for subsequent incorporation into the educational processes of higher education and transfer to society.
